About The Graduate
Driving School Amsterdam

Saida, the owner and coordinator, was born in Amsterdam and grew up there too. She takes great pride in the fact that her driving school is the driving school in Amsterdam truly catering to special needs. Whether your only driving experience was on the rough roads of Cambodia, whether you have trouble immediately telling your right from your left or whether your mother tongue is Uzbek or Swahili, “unusual” students know how to find their way to Saida’s expertise. Artists, staffers in international organizations, writers or academics are the type of people we often train.

Saida’s approach is no-nonsense but she also approaches you as a friend. She is not afraid to tell you fair and square when things go wrong but she is always there to warmly support and encourage you. First and foremost, driving classes must be safe, of course, but they also must be enjoyable. Patience, respect, understanding of everyone’s differences, genuine concern for your success and well-being in the car, those are our guiding principles. We know that everyone learns at his or her own pace and in his or her own way. Our aim is therefore to guide you in the friendliest manner possible. You always learn better and faster in an environment you trust. So it is not for nothing that we say that getting your driving license is something we do together.

Again, at The Graduate everyone is welcome: students who don’t speak Dutch, students learning how to drive at a later age, students who are so afraid of failing they don’t even dare, students who feel too nervous to even sit behind the wheel, autistic students, deaf students, students suffering from other disabilities. Don’t be shy and please come check us out. At The Graduate we are there for you.

And Saida speaks Dutch, English and Arabic fluently as well as a little French

Auto's Rijschool the Graduate

Customized classes are what we are about. Everyone indeed has his or her own wishes and expectations. Our instructors are there to work with and for you. Depending on your needs, you can take one or several classes per week but our lessons are always two hours long. Our driving routes cover all of Amsterdam, yet with a special focus on the “exam area”, Amsterdam Nieuw West, where the test will take place. Pick-up and drop-off locations are agreed to between student and instructor beforehand.

Our instructors are also mostly women. Many women find it nice to take classes with a woman but men are, of course, more than welcome.

And all of our instructors are naturally officially accredited. And all our instructors are naturally accredited, experienced and perfectly capable of teaching our students all essential driving skills.

We love our work and that you will sense right away when you sit down in one our cars with its professional but relaxed feeling.
